Pickford Cup Round 2 – Henley's Electric 6 V 2 AFC Burton

AFC Burton are out of the Pickford Cup with a disappointing performance against lower league outfit Henley's Electric. For the second week in a row Burton conceded early in the game but fought back through Cooke and Chancellor. Henley took control of the game and were 4-2 up at half time. Not long after they were 6-2 up and the game was over. In the last 20 minutes Burton showed flashes of form and could have scored if not for 2 goal line clearances. The tigers will now have to concentrate on the league.

League Division 6 – AFC Burton Reserves 1 V 7 Bisterne Rangers

Unbeaten Bisterne looked to be in trouble after Cook scored for Burton but equalised just before half time. Burton tired in the second half and the away side clinically won the game, scoring 6 more goals. The home side will be encouraged by their first half performance and look to start the same way against another top 3 team next week.

 League Division 2 – AFC Burton 1 V 0 Seacliffe

A 20 yard strike from Sallis was enough to give the tigers all 3 points. Burton who have struggled with form recently started poorly but slowly worked themselves into the game and in the second half the home side took the lead and could have had a hatful more if they took their chances. In the last 10 minutes Seacliffe pushed on to find an equaliser but Burton held on for the win.

 League Division 9 – Talbot United 1 V 1 AFC Burton

2 draws in a row for AFC Burton Reserves thanks to a Tony Hannan-Bobe strike for the away side. A close game could have been won by the tigers but for a penalty miss.
